About Me
Top ten books on my fall reading list:
1. The Passage by Justin Cronin - I've been meaning to read this for a couple of years, now's the time.
4.Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead - So many people gush over this series, I want to check it out.

Doctor Sleep! I totally forgot that was coming out soon. I'm buying it for my hubby for Christmas, so I probably won't get to read it until he's done =)
I read the first Vampire Academy book last year and liked it, but didn't love it. I've heard that the series just keeps getting better the more you read, so I'm hoping to check out book two at some point. - September 17, 2013 at 1:38 AM

I hope you enjoy "Delia's Shadow" as much as I did. Very spooky paranormal mystery. Here's my TTT

The Passage has been on my list to buy for a long time. And I read quite a few of the Vampire Academy books...they're pretty good! Deliah's Shadow sounds good, too. I have trouble keeping to a reading list, too, but it is fun to make and then look back to see how well we did. You've got a great list...good luck with it!

The Passage has been on my TBR list for years now as well. We need to get on that! ha ha I heard lots of good things about it. :)

A rec for The Passage! I really need to start it :) Hope we both enjoy Vampire Academy, then there's a whole series and a spinoff to look forward to.

I probably won't get to it any time soon either, but I'm definitely reading it this year. The Shining was one of my favorites when I had a Stephen King phase. You and your husband have good taste :). Hopefully we all enjoy it.
I've heard the same about VA, and also some people who prefer the spinoff. Sometimes first books in a series are a little rougher, I'll give it a try and see if I like it enough to continue. - September 17, 2013 at 8:17 PM

Thank you. Vampire Academy is going to add a whole stack of books to my TBR, I can feel it. The lists are fun though, I agree there is a particular satisfaction in crossing off the books as you read them.

I'm also looking forward to The Screaming Staircase. And I haven't heard of some of the others on your list, but they sound really good.
Thanks for stopping by my TTT!

Hey there, Jaime! Vampire Academy is one of the best vampire books I've read in my life. It's the series that saved me from totally hating books about vampires. The thing that I really loved about VA is that Richelle was able to create very strong characters esp. our heroine, Rose Hathaway.
And yay to Stephen King. I love the film adaptations of all his books. But I am always afraid to read the actual novels. They always give me the creeps. So no. Lemme see, I've only read Christine, Eyes of the Dragon (? can't remember the exact title), and Firestarter. After these, I have avoided reading any SK book. They're dark... scary... creepy. - September 20, 2013 at 9:02 AM

Great to hear it. Your recommendation has moved this book up the list. Strong characters are my favorite thing.
I love the film adaptations of SK as well, especially Stand By Me.
Not going to lie, Salem's Lot and Pet Semetery both scared me for different reasons. "It" really had its creepy moments as well. A Stephen King novel I enjoyed but didn't give me the creeps was The Dead Zone. - September 22, 2013 at 5:17 PM
