Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly event hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week's topic is: Top Ten Books on my summer To Be Read list
(Excluding all books already mentioned in the list Books in My Beach Bag)

1. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell - need to extend my knowledge of Contemporary YA
2. Alias Hook by Lisa Jensen - fun fact: Once Upon a Time is my guilty pleasure TV show.
3. Landline by Rainbow Rowell - Hoping to enjoy this story on audio.
4. The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair by Joel Decker - I hope this big chunk of a mystery is interestingly meta.

5. The Girl with All the Gifts - Very interesting scifi/zombie story, heard great things
6. The Quick by Lauren Owen - all the mysterious things I've heard about this historical really make me want to pick it up.
7. Euphoria by Lily King - I started this novel already, and I've been captivated.
8. The Falconer by Elizabeth May - I've wanted to read this YA fantasy for a while

9. An Untamed State by Roxane Gay - I really want to read this, but I've been saving it for a time when I can finish it in one stretch/have emotions about it.
10. The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski - this came on my radar thanks to other bloggers, plus I loved the writing in her novel The Shadow Society

LANDLINE! Can't wait to get my hands on that! Same with the Winner's Curse! Never heard of Girl with the Gifts before, but sci-fi and zombies? I think that's going on my TBR list

I really want to get my hands on The Falconer, but the cover is different in the UK and I'm a shallow read who wants that pretty cover instead. It's good to know I'm not the only book blogger who still hasn't read Fangirl!

The Winner's Curse is SO FREAKING AMAZING. I CAN'T EVEN AHHH LOVE LOVE LOVE. Hope you'll enjoy reading!! I've got Landline on my list too, I think it's high time to get into Rainbow Rowell books (especially since each and every of her contemporary books are widely loved, there must be something right she's doing).

Have a great summer reading!!

Fangirl should have been on my list since I've had it for so long. You've got some great looking books on your list!

I've never seen the cover for Alias Hook before - I'm not normally into cover lust, but that one is amazing! Great list! I hope you'll visit mine!

I haven't read anything by Rowell yet so I am super excited for Landline. People love all her works so I hope I do too.
I also want to read The Girl With All the Gifts, looks and sounds great!

Happy reading!

I've only heard of a few on this list, but you have introduced me to The Girl With All The Gifts, which is now on my TBR list! Thanks!
Happy Summer Reading!

I have The Truth about the Harry Quebert Affair on my list, too. I'm interested in The Quick and The Girl with All the Gifts, too...but they will have to wait for fall or winter!

I have both Fangirl and The Winner's Curse and i really need to read them too! It looks like you have a great summer planned for reading. Enjoy them!

Thanks! :)

A lot of interesting books coming out this summer, and I thought autumn was the big publishing season :)

JaimeLH said...

That's great, I hope we both enjoy it. Happy summer reading!

JaimeLH said...

I hope so too. I've read Eleanor and Park, it was pretty good emotions-wise. I get an odd, slight nervousness when starting a really popular book, there are expectations and things.

JaimeLH said...

That's exactly why it's on my list, I've had a copy for ages unread. Thank you!

JaimeLH said...

July 8 can't come fast enough.

JaimeLH said...

The Winner's Curse is a winner from what I've read :)

JaimeLH said...

Thanks! There's just too many books and never enough time to read them all.

JaimeLH said...

Happy The Winner's Curse is a good pick. You're right, when books are this talked about, the author must have some skills,

JaimeLH said...

We're not alone! I'd suggest a club for Bloggers Who Haven't Read Fangirl, but it'd go against the point of my list :) Maybe a read-along? Hmm.

JaimeLH said...

I've heard so many good things about The Girl with All the Gifts, I hope it exceeds expectations.

JaimeLH said...

Euphoria's cover is apparently a close-up of the inner bark of a Rainbow Eucalyptus tree, it's pretty cool. Thanks :)

JaimeLH said...

I love the cut paper effect and the symmetry's pretty great.
I'll definitely stop by :)

I just placed a hold on it at the library, but I'm 12th on the list with only 5 copies circulating :P
