Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, where we highlight upcoming titles we're looking forward to. This week I'm excited about:

Hollow City by Ransom Riggs
Published by Quirk Books
Release Date: January 14, 2014
Sequel to Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

In 1940 after the first book ends, Jacob and his new Welsh island friends flee to London, the Peculiar capital of the world. Caul, a dangerous madman, is Miss Peregrine’s brother, and can steal Peculiar abilities for himself. The Peculiars must fight for survival, again.

I really enjoyed the first novel, and can hardly wait to see how Jacob and his friends navigate the past. I'm sure there will be plenty of creepy photographs included.

I still haven't read Miss Peregrine's - it sounds too creepy for me - but I've really loved all the covers in this series...maybe I'll muster the courage this month, since it's Halloween! Thanks for sharing!

Come check out my WoW!

I started to read Miss Peregrine's but I didn't really like it and stopped reading.
I want to pick it back up though because I love dark creepy novels!

Hi Jamie!

I saw your comment from my Random Thursday post regarding a new Forbidden Game book and had to come find you and chat it up!!

I too initially read the first new trilogy of Vampire Diaries books, but didn't go further. Mostly because it was no longer L.J. writing them, but also in a sense because I did like how things ended in the fourth one. I thought it was a good ending. Of course, I am usually always up for exploring extending the stories! Gotta give it a shot sometimes. But I guess for me the series will always have ended when it did. The new trilogy was all right but I found myself laughing at points like when the teens suddenly had cell phones. I was picture big ginormous things since they were the class of 92 or 93!!

Thanks for visiting my blog today!

Nice WoW pick too! Seeing this one around a lot lately. Haven't read the first myself!
