About Me
Wednesday, December 11, 2013
Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases.
This week I'm waiting on...
I'm weak to fairy tale retellings, especially darker ones, and the more I hear about this book the more excited I get. Plus this cover is creepy/gorgeous, and I like the way the red nail polish on the girl's fingers invokes the image of the poison apple.
I'm excited for many books this winter, but this is one I'll be cracking open as soon as I'm able to get my hands on a copy.

Death hasn't visited Rowan Rose
since it took her mother when Rowan was only a little girl. But that changes
one bleak morning, when five horses and their riders thunder into her village
and through the forest, disappearing into the hills. Days later, the riders'
bodies are found, and though no one can say for certain what happened in their
final hours, their remains prove that whatever it was must have been brutal.
Rowan's village was once a tranquil
place, but now things have changed. Something has followed the path those
riders made and has come down from the hills, through the forest, and into the
village. Beast or man, it has brought death to Rowan's door once again.
Only this time,
its appetite is insatiable.

Look at that gorgeous cover! I am a sucker for beautiful covers, I have to admit. This is the first time I've seen this book but I definitely am adding it to my TBR list, right now! It sounds awesome.
