About Me
Wednesday, November 13, 2013
Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, is a weekly feature that spotlights upcoming releases:
This week I'm waiting on...
By Leah Cypress
Publisher: Greenwillow
Release Date: March 4, 2014
When Ileni lost her magic, she lost
everything: her place in society, her purpose in life, and the man she had
expected to spend her life with. So when the Elders sent her to be magic tutor
to a secret sect of assassins, she went willingly, even though the last two
tutors had died under mysterious circumstances.
But beneath the assassins’ caves,
Ileni will discover a new place and a new purpose… and a new and dangerous
love. She will struggle to keep her lost magic a secret while teaching it to
her deadly students, and to find out what happened to the two tutors who
preceded her. But what she discovers will change not only her future, but the
future of her people, the assassins… and possibly the entire world.
Leah Cypress is an author that I feel deserves more recognition. She writes really beautiful YA fantasy novels that are fairytale-like in tone yet have truly original plots. Her previous novels include Mistwood and Nightspell and I recommend them both. Death Sworn looks fantastic, hopefully it finds a wide audience.

This sounds like something I would enjoy. I have Mistwood on my shelf but haven't read it yet -- sounds as if I should!

I have an ARC of this one! I think I was the first to get one, because I requested it superrrr early. It's also on Edelweiss :)
Thanks for visiting my blog!

I've heard such great things about MISTWOOD but never got around to reading it--this lastest one sounds good, too! Thanks for the feature and heads up that this is coming.
