About Me
Sunday, November 3, 2013
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba at The Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It's a chance to share news, showcase books, and recap the week.
My birthday was a couple of weeks ago, so I have some new books I'm excited about.
Halloween season is over, which means a new layout I'll be tweaking over the next couple of days. To be honest I'm a little burnt out when it comes to horror books. This November I plan to focus more on literary and non-fiction, with the occasional YA.

A week in summary:
- My Top Ten Scary Covers
- Review: The Screaming Staircase (Lockhart & Co. #1)
- Waiting on Wednesday: The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
- Review: Unspoken
- Halloween Discussion Post
- Feature & Follow Friday: Embarrassing Books Edition
Interesting Links of Note:
- Allie Brosh, Donald Glover, And Hurting Right Now A great article by NPR's Linda Holmes
- Babysitting Instructions -head over to The Toast for this gem by Cleolinda Jones
- How has twitter changed the role of the literary critic? - NY Times
- Little Talks: Are positive reviews unreliable? - Interesting points by Hazel at Stay Bookish. Personally I do write negative reviews occasionally but I strive to give an accurate picture of the book, giving credit where credit is due even for books that don't work for me. Positive reviews give information about the book just as well.

You have some awesome books in your haul this week! There are so many that I want to read. I really wish I owned physical copies of Fables, but I enjoyed the first one a lot so I may buy them eventually.
