I haven't read any of these yet but plan to soon, especially Stroud. Love him and I got his book as an ARC, so I have to hurry up and get to it :D

I think you'll like it, especially the second book, The Whispering Skull. It's so entertaining and there's a character that reminds me of Bartimaeus.
