Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews

Over the past couple of weeks I broke my book buying ban in a big way, here's the result:

Monstrous Affections: An Anthology of Beastly Tales edited by Kelly Link and Gavin J. Grant - Short stories from a great selections of authors.

Unmade (The Lynburn Legacy #3) by Sarah Rees Brennan - In the middle of this, it's so good though I'm braced for heartbreak.
Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins - Finally got my hands on this gorgeous book

The Infinite Sea (The Fifth Wave #2) by Rick Yancey - I've already read it, it's amazing. Review to come.
Acceptance (Southern Reach Trilogy #3) by Jeff Vandermeer - The final novel in this creepy/fascinating trilogy, I still need to read Authority.

I'm excited for all these reads, they should keep me busy for a while. Meanwhile, I've decided adopt a new policy for myself on acquiring new books, whether for review, library, or the bookstore: for every five I read/review I can obtain one new book. Hopefully this will cut down on the TBR, if I stick with it.

I've had to institute a similar policy for new/existing reads... though mine is 1:1. So I'll probably never get through my TBR pile!

I definitely need to adopt that policy, at least for books I buy (if not the library). I love incentives/rewards...in general. Ah! I ordered The Infinite Sea. I should get it by Tuesday. Can't wait to hear what you have to say about it. I'm so relieved/excited to hear you say it's amazing, b/c I loved the first one.

I really need to hurry up and read Lola so I can read Isla :) I loveeed Anna but for some reason I just never got around to reading Lola :/ I've heard a ton of great things though of course, so I'm very excited! Happy Reading, I hope you enjoy all your books!!

Isla seems like a popular pick these past few weeks. I haven't read any of the books so far but from what I've been reading on blogs, it's a definite winner. Unmade looks good. I might to check that series out too! Thanks for your comment on Tynga's Reviews.

Also, I forgot to mention, I see "The Strand" as your bookmark. Do you live in New York? I was in New York for 6 months and I would visit The Strand (or Barnes & Noble in Union Square or Books of Wonder) at least once or twice a week. I miss it!

Isla has been pretty popular :) Unmade is the third book in the Lynburn Legacy Series, which starts with Unspoken. I love it and really recommend it.

Thank you! Lola's great, Lola and Cricket were such a cute couple.

Yep, me too. It's how I get myself to exercise as well xD. I've included library books only because I want to read some of the books I've had sitting around for ages. I'll see how long that lasts.

The Infinite Sea is dark and introspective, and I could't put it down. I want everyone to read it and discuss.
